August is here and these are some of our favorite ways to beat the dog days of summer. What are your favorites? Let us know in the comments!
- Enjoy an ice cream scoop or summer fix with friends at your local parlor or soda shop. Our favorite is Southern Pop in Canton, TX.
- Take your best friend on a long walk or teach your fur baby a new trick. Dogs love learning and pleasing you!
- Take time to sit, soak in some rays (it's good for you!) and reflect by the pool. Make it extra special by taking your journal with you and jotting down a few of your favorite summer moments or creative ideas. Here's a link to our favorite new journal.
- Let your joy be unedited when spending time with friends. PS - our favorite littles love wearing aprons and we can't seem to get them to take them off! Is that a bad sign? We don't think so!
- Enjoy the colors and scents of summer like these gorgeous roses! Pick your favorite scents and make a note to find them again next summer.
- Say yes to something spontaneous that you don't normally do - like dressing up and visiting First Monday Trade Days with friends! Our next show is just around the corner.
- Try a new recipe with seasonal foods and fruits - it's so good for your body, mind and soul. Check out our delicious and so easy recipe for Watermelon Tomato Salad with Feta & Mint right Here!
- Drive with the windows down and music up and beat those dog days of summer. Don't worry, the Original Tie Headband will keep the flyaways in place (it works at the beach, too!).
- Take a cue from your teen. They are great at living in the moment and never worry about what didn't get done that day. These beauties found our Original Aprons at our favorite local stop Laurel & Pearl Bakery in Tyler, Texas!
- Spend the whole day twinning with your mini until you both fall into bed exhausted at night. It's just one day but the memory lasts a lifetime.
